Outstanding Wrestler Awards
The wrestlers listed below have been selected to receive the Potomac Valley Challenge Cup Outstanding Wrestler Award. This recognition is given to wrestlers so dominated their weight class that they were selected by Cup state team coaches as among the best of the best, not just in Challenge Cup competition, but among high school wrestlers anywhere in the nation. Each individual listed here was a proven champion that went on to greater wrestling endeavors following his appearance in Maryland's oldest freestyle wrestling event.
NOTE: For years where more than one wrestler was deserving of an award, more were selected with the actual award provided to the wrestler indicated by a *. Also, beginning in 1991, OW awards were given in both HS and Pre-HS weight divisions.
